ARMENIAN ESCAPEE CONVICTED AGAIN IN AZERBAIJAN

An Armenian prisoner who escaped jail has been convicted for a second
time in Azerbaijan.
Edgar Sarkisyanm escaped from Jail 11. He was sentenced to 2.5 years
imprisonment.
Sarkisyan escaped jail on Nov. 8.
The guards shot at him as he made his escape.
Sarkisyan injured his foot and wounded guard Shahriyar Huseynov when
he was detained. He is charged with escaping jail, resisting arrest
and using force against a civil servant.
Sarkisyan was sentenced to 14 years in jail for raping and beating
his sister.
The court sentenced him to 15 years in jail for his past and present
crimes.
