Iran and Armenia inaugurated a trading area at the Nurduz border
terminal in the northwestern Iranian province of East Azarbayjan on
5 February, the Iranian news agency Mehr reported.

Mehr quoted the director-general of the East Azarbayjan
transportation and terminals department, Ali Firuzi, as saying that
the governor-general of East Azarbayjan in Iran and the governor of
Syunik Region in Armenia attended the inauguration ceremony held on
the morning of 5 February to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1979
Islamic revolution in Iran.

Mehr quoted Ali Firuzi as saying that about 4.5m dollars had been
allocated for the project.

The Nurduz border terminal is located 65 km off Jolfa town in Iran’s
East Azarbayjan Province opposite Agarak town in Armenia, Firuzi said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
