Grigor Hovhannisian appointed acting consul general of Armenia in Los Angeles

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 6, NOYAN TAPAN. The advisor to the Armenian foreign
minister Grigor Hovhannisian has been appointed acting consul general
of Armenia in Los Angeles, NT was informed by the RA MFA Press and
Information Department.

Grigor Hovhannisian was born in 1971 in Yerevan. In 1992 he graduated
from the Department of Oriental Studies of Yerevan State University. In
1992-1993, he specialized in international relations at Haykazian
University of Beirut. In 2001 he received a Master’s degree at Fletcher
School of Law and Diplomacy. In 1994-2006 G. Hovhannisian worked in the
United Nations system, holding various positions in Armenia, Congo,
several countries of the Middle East. In 2006-2009, he worked as the
CEO of the Shoushi Revival Fund and a lecturer at YSU. G. Hovhannisian
is fluent in English, French, Arabic and Russian.
