NATO not dealing with "Russian arms transfer" to Armenia

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Yesterday, going its own way, Azeri 1news.az agency
quoted a source in NATO headquarters allegedly saying that "NATO has
launched an investigation into the transfer of Russian arms to
Armenia."

Meanwhile, NATO said it is not dealing with the issue.

"We are not aware of such a decision," Veronique Smet, Assistant to
the Deputy Spokesperson at NATO Public Diplomacy Division, told a
PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Baku’s accusation campaign started after publication of some media
reports about Russian arms transfer to the amount of $800 million to
Armenia. Last months, Azeri ANS TV quoted Russian Defense Ministry’s
spokesman Alexander Petrunin as saying that "Russia delivered military
hardware to Armenia in the framework of a transnational agreement."

The Russian Foreign Ministry refuted the information. "Such untrue
anti-Russian publications undermine friendly relations between the
Russian Federation and Azerbaijan," it said in a note sent to the
Azeri MFA.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
