EUROPEAN UNION FOLLOWS CLOSELY ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONS

BRUSSELS, FEBRUARY 9, NOYAN TAPAN. The European Union is following
closely Armenian-Turkish relations and expects serious results, the
Head of the European Commission Delegation in Turkey Marc Pierini said,
according to Turkish mass media.

Welcoming the diplomatic contacts of Armenia and Turkey, M. Pierini
said: "Rapid progress has been made in the relations with Armenia. We
expect to hear important statements in this connection in the near
future".
