Baku-APA. Armenian service of Radio Liberty spread information about
retracting a term of Nagorno Karabakh by Turkey for normalization of
its relations with Armenia.
The radio quoted one of the participants of the Armenian-Turkish talks
as saying that Ankara retracted its previous term of withdrawal of
Armenian troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan for establishing
the official relations and opening the borders with Armenia, APA
reports quoting the web-site turkgundem.net. The radio claimed that
only term of the Turkish government now is the establishing of joint
commission of historians for investigation of 1915 events. Armenian
president Serzh Sargsyan positively reacted to this term, which caused
concern among the dashnaks and Diaspora organizations and they already
warned the head of state about it, the radio reported.
Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic told APA that he is
on a visit to Ganja now and he will learn the question by returning
to Baku. The ambassador said he did not think that Turkey could make
such step.
Turkey’s Foreign Ministry did not express opinion about the issue. The
ministry sources told APA announcement on this issue could be made
only in few days.
