SERZH SARGSYAN ABOUT WORLD CRISIS, NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT AND ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONS

The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan made a speech in the fourth
assembly of the "Prosperous Armenia" party and the highlights of the
President’s speech were the world crisis, the resolution processes
of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and Armenian-Turkish relations.

WORLD FINANCIAL-ECONOMIC CRISIS

The President mentioned that today the world suffers the world
financial-economic crisis and looks for the ways to overcome its
impact. This is a crisis, or an economic chaos which forces to
implement non standard solutions which would be unacceptable in some
other cases, said the President.

According to the President the Government of Armenia should also
take such measures to secure the successful victory of the problem,
such as to support native producers to export their products, to make
reforms in tax and customs fields, etc.

"We should defend our business, we should defend ourselves; every
measure should be taken to defend national business," said S. Sargsyan.

Regarding the oppositional forces of the governmental activities, the
President said that they oppose to social populism by professionalism
and competency.

"To win means to do everything to have minimal influence of the crisis
upon our economy and compared with our neighbors, to be in a better
condition," said the President.

NAGORNO KARABAKH CONFLICT

The President talked about the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and its
resolution. He said that the principle for Armenia is the right of
self-determination of Nagorno Karabakh Republic. "The land of Karabakh
has not price, and if it is priceless then we can’t bargain it,"
said the President.

ARMENIAN-TURKISH RELATIONS

Regarding the Armenian-Turkish relations, Serzh Sargsyan said that
the most important thing for our country is to have unblocked borders
and normal relations without any preconditions.
