YEREVAN SPECIAL SCHOOL N 16 FOR CHILDREN WITH POOR EYESIGHT RECEIVES GRANT OF 185 THOUSAND 391 USD

YEREVAN, MARCH 5, NOYAN TAPAN. The Embassy of Japan in Armenia
(residence Moscow) provided a grant of 185 thousand 391 USD to Yerevan
special school N 16 for children with poor eyesight. The school
plans to purchase furniture, school property, and other things with
the grant.

The agreement on providing the grant was signed on March 4 between
Levon Movsesian, the Chairman of the Human Health charity NGO, and
Iida Djhiro, the First Secretary of Japanese Embassy.

I. Djhiro expressed the hope that the grant will be used efficiently
and will contribute to improval of conditions for children’s study
and rest.

School deputy headmaster Karine Badalian said that at present
250 children attend the school, 80 out of them spend the night at
school. In her words, the school needed new furniture and school
property.
