DEFENSE MINISTER OF ARMENIA: CREATION OF FREE AND DEMOCRATIC AFGHANISTAN PROCEEDS FROM REGIONAL AND GLOBAL INTERESTS

ArmInfo. Creation of a free and democratic country – Afghanistan
proceeds not only from the regional but also from the global interests,
Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan said during yesterday’s
meeting with Ambassador of Afghanistan to Armenia Zalmay Azizi, DM
spokesman Seyran Shahsuvaryan reported. According to the minister,
Armenia appreciates the efficient actions of the coalitional forces
in Afghanistan as an important constituent of the international
terrorism-fight. S. Ohanyan also said Armenia has multiply expressed
its readiness to assist the coalitional forces, in particular,
as regards provision of an air space for transportation of freight
and personnel.
