Armenian Ameriabank lowers interest rate for USD business credits by 1%
YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. Armenian Ameriabank has decreased interest
rates for USD business credits by 1% since March 5, the bank’s
press-service told ARKA News Agency.
The initiative is aimed at contributing to boost of business activities
in Armenia and control of possible rise in prices for goods imported in
USD.
The program of full deposit insuring offered by the bank last December,
still finds a broad response among the public, which is an evidence of
a growing connection between the bank and its clients.
The program contributed to increase of fixed deposits in Ameriabank by
37% in February and to increase of total deposits by 51.8% since the
beginning if this year.
In February the bank’s assets increased by 12.7%, and by 15.7% in
January-February and amounted to 57.5bln AMD on March 1 against 49.7bln
AMD in 2008.
Ameriabank CJSC is an investment bank rendering corporate, investment
and limited retail banking services. Ruben Vardanian is the bank’s
Chairman of the Board of Directors and Artak Hanesyan is the bank’s
Chairman of Directorate-General Director.
