Ways of deepening Armenian-Italian partnership outlined

YEREVAN, MARCH 6, NOYAN TAPAN. RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian
receiving a delegation led by Italian Foreign Ministry State Secretary
Alfredo Montica on March 6 highly assessed the current level of
Armenian-Italian relations and said that these relations have good
development prospects and a serious potential. In this context the
Minister attached importance to implementation of Armenian-Italian
high-ranking visits in the respect of promotion of bilateral political
dialogue.

Alfredo Montica in his turn emphasized that Italy is interested in
development of friendly relations with Armenia and his visit is aimed
at the fulfillment of the very goal.

E. Nalbandian and A. Montica had a detailed talk over ways of expanding
cooperation in political, trade and economic, and cultural spheres.
They discussed the EU Eastern Partnership proposal and recorded that
cooperation in that format will give new possibilities for expanding
partnership with European structures and EU partner countries.

According to the report of the RA Foreign Ministry Press and
Information Department, the interlocutors also touched upon the Nagorno
Karabakh settlement negotiations process, exchanged thoughs over
possibilities of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations and
establishment of peace and stability in the region.
