Commander-in-c hief of Turkish Gendarmerie: Turkey will not take even a
step contradicting Azerbaijan’s interests

Baku – APA. Commander-in-chief of Turkey’s Gendarmerie, Army General
Avni Atilla Isik met with Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister,
Colonel-General Safar Abiyev in Baku, Defense Ministry’s press service
told APA. They discussed the relations and development prospects
between Azerbaijan and Turkey in line with bilateral military
cooperation plan. They exchanged views on military-political situation
in the region and ways of solution to Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict.
Defense Minister Safar Abiyev told commander-in-chief of Turkish
Gendarmerie that Azerbaijani people were concerned over the media
reports about the expansion of relations and opening of borders
between Turkey and Armenia. Atilla Isik said Turkey would not take
even a step contradicting Azerbaijan’s interests.
