Tigran Petrosyan scores third victory in European Individual Championship

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian grandmaster Tirgan Petrosyan gained his
third victory in the 5th tour of European Individual Chess
Championship. The Olympic champion, playing with black pieces defeated
the Ukrainian chess player Ilya Nijhnik, requiting for Arman
Pashikyan’s defeat in the 4th tour.
Arman Pashikyan, playing with black pieces, beat Turkey’s Kivanc
Haznedaroglu. Vladimir Hakobyan vs. Zaven Andreasyan round ended in a
draw. Tigran Kotanjyan and Arthur Chibukhchyan lost their
games. According to 5th tour results, Tigran Kotanjyan is 0,5 points
behind the tournament leaders, with 4 points to his score. Vladimir
Hakobyan, Zaven Andreasyan, Arman Pashikyan and Tigran Kotanjyan are
ranked 71 to 133 in the tournament table with 3 points to their
score. Artashes Minasyan has gained 20,5 points and Arthur
Chibukhchyan -2 points. Germany’s Georg Meier, Russia’s Ernesto
Inarkiev and Sasan Syugirov are leading with 4,5 points each.
