Armenian foreign minister hails Armenia-Iran relations, urges more

YEREVAN, March 13. /ARKA/. Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan
hailed Armenia-Iran constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation as
he met today with his Iranian colleague
Manouchehr Mottaki.

Nalbandyan stressed the role of the Armenian-Iranian relations in
backing regional stability and security.

In his turn, Mottaki said the purpose of his trip to Armenia was to
boost bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, the Armenian and Iranian foreign ministers touched
upon bilateral economic and the 8th session of the Armenian-Iranian
Parliamentary Commission.

The two foreign ministers stressed the importance of expanding economic
partnership. They also discussed stability and security issues in the
region, as well as the latest talks over a peaceful resolution of the
Karabakh conflict. `0–
