Iran is prepared to do its utmost to settle Karabakh conflict

`Iran is ready to assist with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict
settlement’, said Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at the
press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan in
Yerevan on March 13, reports a REGNUM correspondent. At the same time,
he compared the conflict settlement with a building, which should be
erected brick to brick.

Iranian FM also noted that the issue was discussed at recently held
Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Tehran, where
parties stressed that the issue must be settled peacefully.

In his turn, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan announced
that during meeting with Iranian counterpart they have discussed
strengthening of stability in the region and recent developments
concerning the settlement of the Karabakh conflict and possible
resolution of the Armenian-Turkish relations.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
