YEREVAN, MARCH 16, NOYAN TAPAN. The action against bribery among
university lecturers, which was initiated by "Miasin" ("Together")
youth movement, is not notable for its impartiality as the action
participants did not put up the photos of those lecturers who enjoy the
authorities’ patronage. The head of the National Assembly "Heritage"
faction Armen Martirosian expressed this opinion at the March 13
press conference.
He underlined that such methods should not be used in the fight against
corruption, and any lecturer is not guilty as long as his quilt has
not been proven in a court. According to A. Martirosian, the indicated
initiative is a next-in-turn imitation process to show that fight
is being conducted against this phenomenon. Whereas, in his opinion,
the fight against corruption should start from law-enforcement bodies
rather than universities.
