PM TIGRAN SARGSYAN VISITS MASIS GOLD REFINING FACTORY

The Prime Minister of Armenia, Tigran Sargsyan, visited the gold
refining factory of Masis today. The Prime Minister familiarized with
the manufacturing capacities, the perspectives of development and the
working conditions of the enterprise recently put into commission by
"ASSAT" Company.

Director General of the "ASSAT" Company Aram Osikyan informed the
Prime Minister that the company established in 1999, is engaged in
researching and calculating the reserves of a number of mine fields
of the republic, construction of factories and exploitation of gold,
copper and other metals. The Masis gold refining factory is one of
the projects of the company, which has already been tested and has
good perspectives of development.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan told reporters that the global crisis
has brought about serious difficulties in the mining industry,
while it opens new opportunities in the filed of jewelry, which our
entrepreneurs try to make use of. According to him, the Masis gold
refining factory is one of those successful initiatives, equipped
with modern technologies and corresponding to contemporary standards.
