Quinn’s Remarks Were ‘Infantile’

QUINN’S REMARKS WERE ‘INFANTILE’

RUAIRI Quinn has some cheek (‘Kevin’s Holocaust piece offensive’,
Letters, March 14).

His infantile attack on Kevin Myers’ well-written piece regarding
The Shoah is needlessly knee-jerk.

Like Kevin, I accept that The Shoah happened.

So did the Irish Famine, the Armenian genocide and the Ukrainian
Holodomor.

These are irrefutable facts. Like all historical issues there are
many different opinions as to the cause, political objectives and
the actual casualty count.

That the lobbyists for the international jewry are actively trying
to muzzle scholarly discussion of these events is bizarre. What are
they afraid of?

Nobody owns history.

We have free speech in this Republic of Ireland. Write on, Kevin.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
