WIDE OPPORTUNITIES OF BILATERAL COOPERATION DISCUSSED WITH RUSSIAN KALININGRAD PROVINCE AND BELARUS

YEREVAN, MARCH 17, ARMENPRESS: Delegation headed by the Secretary
of Armenian National Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian paid an
official visit to the Russian Kaliningrad province March 16.

Press service of Armenian National Security Council told Armenpress
that Arthur Baghdasarian met with Kaliningrad governor Georgi Boss and
members of the government. The package of collaborative suggestions
prepared by the Armenian government has been presented which involves
wide opportunities of bilateral cooperation. According to the reached
agreement, a delegation headed by the Kaliningrad governor Georgi
Boss will visit Armenia to discuss new opportunities of cooperation
with the authorities of the state.

On the invitation of Belarus State Secretary of Security Council
Yuri Zhadobin on the same day delegation headed by A. Baghdasarian
arrived in Belarus. During the meeting with the representatives of
Belarus Armenian community the Secretary of National Security Council
noted that during the visit a wide range of issues connected with
Armenian-Belarus military-political cooperation will be discussed.

Belarus is the military-political partner of Armenia and the
consolidation of cooperation stems from the interests of the two
states.

The Security Councils of the two countries, law-enforcement bodies
and emergency situation ministries have a great potential of
cooperation. Armenia and Belarus also have a great opportunity of
enhancement of cooperation within the frameworks of CSTO.

With the request of representatives of Belarus-Armenian community
A. Baghdasarian referred to a number of issues connected with
the internal and external political and economic life of Armenia,
particularly the elections of Mayor of Yerevan, regulation of Nagorno
Karabakh conflict, establishment of Armenia-Turkey relations,
Armenia-Iran oil pipeline and railway, Yerevan-Batumi highway,
construction of a new nuclear station and food security of the country.
