SARKISIAN SAYS HE WILL MEET GUL SOON

ISTANBUL – Armenian President Serge Sarkisian said Turkish recognition
of the Armenians’ claims of genocide was not a precondition for
establishing diplomatic ties between the two countries, in an interview
with euronews published yesterday.

Sarkisian said it was likely that he would meet Turkish President
Abdullah Gul soon, adding that negotiations were underway for such
an encounter.
