ARMENIA’S ARMAVIA TO OPERATE SCHEDULED FLIGHTS TO ZURICH, BERLIN

YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. Armenia’s national air carrier Armavia
this month will launch scheduled flights to Zurich and Berlin,
reported Armavia’s Director General Norair Belluyan.
"The first Yerevan-Zurich-Yerevan flight is scheduled for March 30
and the company plans to operate the first backhaul flights to Berlin
on April 14," he added.
According to Nana Avetisova, Armavia press secretary, the national
air carrier plans to increase frequency of Yerevan-Marseilles flight
to twice a week.
Leader in Armenia’s aviation market, Armavia was established by Aviafin
Ltd and Mika Armenia Trading LLC in 1996. President of MIKA Armenia
Limited Mikhail Baghdasarov is the absolute shareholder of the company.
Armavia currently operates flights to the CIS and Russia, as well
as Middle East and Europe, organizing over 70 flights weekly to 35
destinations in the CIS and Europe.
Armavia possesses two A-320 and two A-319 airbuses, one Boeing 737-300,
one Yak-42, one Tu-134 and one IL-86.
