TRT to offer Armenian radio, Persian TV station

The Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT) is planning to
launch an Armenian radio station and a Persian television station.

Currently working on opening a Kurdish radio station, TRT aims to
launch the stations within two to three months.
Among this year’s goals, TRT hopes to further launch an
Arabic-language TV station and another Turkish- language station named
`Tarım TV’ (Agriculture TV), which will mostly broadcast
programs on agriculture and animal breeding.

TRT also plans to launch a station named `TRT Anadolu’ in cooperation
with local television stations and a channel to broadcast news in
English. While Tarım TV is expected to be ready by the end of
this year, the English-language news station is planned to be on air
next year.
