ArmInfo. Turkish State Minister and Deputy Premier Hayati Yazici paid
a visit to an Armenian church in Istanbul on Monday.

As haber.turk says, visiting the "Surp Vartanants Church" in Sisli
district of Istanbul, Yazici held talks with Aram Atesyan, Turkish
Armenian Patriarchal Archbishop and Chairman of the Religious Council.

Delivering a speech during the visit, Yazici said, "our political
approach does not consist of fanaticism, it is rather based on
project management".

Yazici said that political parties should create an atmosphere where
individuals could freely fulfill the requirements of their beliefs.

"Political parties should not have any beliefs, they should have
programs," Yazici said.

For his part, Archbishop Atesyan said that Turkish and Armenian people
had lived together and cried for each other’s sorrows for years.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
