/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Despite tensions that emerged between Israel and
Turkey after the Israeli Cast Lead offence against Palestine, Tel
Aviv’s formal position on the Armenian Genocide issue has not changed.
Minister of Health Yaakov Ben-Yezri said that Israel "sympathizes
with Armenian people and remembers the bloody ordeals that befell
Armenians in the Ottoman Empire but understands the sensitivity of
the Armenian-Turkish relations and hopes that the countries will
resolve the problems and heal the wounds."
"The criticism Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan poured on Israel
has nothing to do with Israel’s position on the massacre of Armenians,
according to Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice-Chairman of Conference
of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations.
However, the leader of one of Jewish organizations in the U.S. said
that "Ergodan’s demarche in Davos has changed much," Jewish.ru reports.
