STAR RETAIL NETWORK REDUCES PRICES OF FLOWERS ON OCCASION OF WOMEN’S DAY ON APRIL 7

ArmInfo. The largest retail-trading network in Armenia – STAR
Company has announced an action reducing the prices of flowers at its
supermarkets. STAR press-service told ArmInfo, the greatest part of
flowers is sold for lowers prices starting from March 31. The action
will continue till April 13. The company promises regular special
price offers for flowers on all holidays.
STAR network launched sales of flowers in the second half of
January 2009 hereby making another step towards development of
civilized trading and European standards of retail networks. The
strategy of the new business-dimension of the network is sales of
inexpensive flower bouquets in European style including for everyday
purchase. ‘Flowers bring beauty and delight to our life as well as
high mood and positive emotions. We want to bring joy to our clients
irrespective of whether there is holiday or not, Narine Avetisyan,
STAR Director for Marketing says.
As press-service of the company reported, flower trading in the STAR
supermarkets is dynamically developing and ensuring sale growth day
by day.
For instance, the March sale exceeded the February one threefold
and the twofold growth is expected in April as against March. Local
producers are the main lower suppliers to the STAR net. Not only
bunches of flowers are in the assortment but also flowers in pots
which live from 30 days up to three months.
To note, at present there are 13 supermarkets in the STAR net
functioning since 1998. The EBRD is one the shareholders of STAR with
28,3% share.
