SARKISSIAN SAYS SINIORA’S CANDIDACY IS A "COURAGEOUS DECISION"

Future Movement MP Serge Tor Sarkissian said Prime Minister Fouad
Siniora’s candidacy for the upcoming parliamentary elections was
a "courageous decision" and added that it "gives a flavor to the
electoral atmospheres, which are already tense."

Sarkissian said Siniora’s candidacy would be further ground calls for
keeping immunity given to deputies, "because it is not a bad thing, and
it includes a prestige status. However, it might also increase problems
sometimes… Everyone can express their opinion within a democracy."
