President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message on the
occasion of Motherhood and Beauty Day. Presidential press service told
Armenpress that the message of the president runs as follows: "Dear
Ladies, I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of Motherhood
and Beauty Day.

Motherhood has been held sacred since time immemorial and the humanity
has always been treating mothers with reverence and admiration. Today
we use this opportunity to once again to vow our love and wish all
the best to our mothers, wives, grandmas, sisters, and daughters –
to all those who have savored the joy of motherhood and to those who
are yet to dedicate themselves to this highest mission of the women.

The Armenian authorities where men, probably unjustly, constitute the
majority, consider it their duty to provide state care for the women,
to do their utmost to reduce the burden of women and mothers. In
the framework of the state program on childbirth assistance some
success has already been registered, and we will be persistent in
eliminating all possible infringements. Baby bonuses for the first,
second and every successive child in our country will only increase.

Dear Ladies, Please be assured that our attention and care for you
will not diminish.

I once again congratulate you on the occasion of this beautiful spring
holiday and wish you happiness, strong families, admirable children
and boundless charm".

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
