/PanARMENIAN.Net/ According to experts, funds’ outflow increase from
Ukraine to other countries is conditioned by reduction of earnings
and dismissal of work immigrants in Ukraine, Delo reported.
Volume of transfers via payment systems increased twice ($382 million)
compared with 2007 results. During the same period, inflow volume
comprised $2,53 billion, increasing by 23 % compared to 2007 results.
National Bank of Ukraine Vice Chairman’s Counselor Andrey Gaydutski
gave the following opinion, "There are many migrants from Georgia,
Armenian, Uzbekistan in Ukraine, engaged in trade , construction,
service sphere. Seeing no perspectives for future work, they proceed by
transferring the money they have to their native countries, returning
home afterward. This is how the outflow of funds from Ukraine is
accounted for."
Out of $382 million, sent last year from Ukraine, greatest sums were
transferred to Russia: $107,2 million (35 %), followed by transfers
to Georgia $33,7 million (9 %), Armenia $24,5 million (6,5 %) and
Uzbekistan $24,2 million (6,5 %).
