YERVAND ASATRIAN NOMINATED FOR YEREVAN COUNCIL OF ELDERS ELECTIONS BY RPA ELECTORAL ROLL INTRODUCES SELF-REJECTION APPLICATION

YEREVAN, APRIL 6, NOYAN TAPAN. One more person nominated for Yerevan
Council of Elders elections of May 31 by the RPA electoral roll
introduced a self-rejection application to the RA Central Electoral
Commission (CEC). As Noyan Tapan correspondent was informed by CEC
Secretary Abram Bakhchagulian, RPA member, chairman-manager of the
Ghars condominium Yervand Asatrian taking the last, 108th place on
the list withdrew his candidature.

He also said that the name of Karen Hakobian taking the 101th place on
the list, who died in the April 2 argument, will be withdrawn from the
list after the RPA official representative introduces K. Hakobian’s
death certificate to CEC.

Thus, 179 citizens are nominated by the RPA list at present.

CEC will register the 6 nominated parties and 1 preelection bloc in
the period from April 26 to May 1, 18:00. Political forces, as well
as candidates on their electoral rolls can use the self-rejection
right until May 21.
