Ten members of Armenia’s opposition, including a leader, were arrested
in the capital Yerevan on Wednesday, opposition association Armenian
National Congress said.
Special forces operatives and police surrounded an avenue in the
city center where opposition activists had planned to take so-called
"political strolls" and arrested Armenian National Congress coordinator
Levon Zurabian and another nine opposition members, the Congress
press service told Interfax.
"The police used violence," the press service said.
"Details of the incident will be published later," it said.
