RETURN TO ROOTS OR ESCAPE FROM REALITY ON THE RESURRECTION DAY

It is well known, the Armenian leadership, headed by Serge Sargsyan,
visited the Holy See St. Echmiadzin on the Resurrection day where
they partook in the religious ceremony for the Easter Day. It is
also known that on the same say, such kind of a ceremony was held
in Nagorno-Karabakh as well. As we know, Nagorno-Karabakh has its
president, headed by whom the Karabakhi leadership took part in that
ceremony in the St. Ghazanchetsots church of Shushi. The interesting
point in all this is that the former presidents of Armenia and
Nagorno-Karabakh Robert Kocharyan and Arkadi Ghukasyan participated
in this ceremony too.

The point is that Arkadi Ghukasyan has recently been appointed
ambassador with special assignments. Serge Sargsyan appointed him to
this office; consequently, Arkadi Ghukasyan is a member of the Armenian
and not Karabakhi leadership. In other words, the logic hints that
Ghukasyan should be present not in Shushi but in Echmiadzin on that
day as a component of the Armenian leadership. Does this leadership not
attract or it dispels Arkadi Ghukasyan? Maybe Ghukasyan just perceived
the Easter as a spiritual and not a secular holiday and preferred
his spiritual feelings to the secular rules and with the slogan "my
heart is in the mountains" he went to Shushi, moreover his professional
duties would give him less possibilities to be there where his "heart"
is, because he is an ambassador, more, a special ambassador.

It is also possible that Arkadi Ghukasyan chose Shushi as the former
president of Nagorno-Karabakh and because of this reason he decided
to spend his Easter Holiday among his former dependents. But,
in this case, we have to note that Robert Kocharyan, being the
former president of Armenia, has to be with his former dependants
in Echmiadzin. Does the environment of his former dependents dispel
him so much that he goes where his "heart" is – to Nagorno-Karabakh,
Shushi? Robert Kocharyan may be seeking for a political "resurrection"
in the Resurrection holiday, or preconditions, or maybe seeds. Maybe
right these searches brought him there from where he came to Armenia
became the president.

Karabakh became like a purgatory for the Armenian reality, more for
the Armenian political reality. Before their farewell to politics
Shavarsh Kocharyan and Vazgen Manukyan visited Karabakh as well,
after the disassemble of the "Ardarutyun" (Justice) alliance Stepan
Demirchyan went to Karabakh too, after his return to politics Levon
Ter-Petrosyan also went to Karabakh, before the Yerevan Mayor election
Gagik Tsarukayn visited Nagorno-Karabakh too, the moment there are
problems connected with home or external politics Robert Kocharyan
or Serge Sargsyan put on a military uniform and go to Karabakh. As
if Nagorno-Karabakh resurrects or absolves sins.
