While on his "Surrender to Islam & Socialism Tour" recently, President
Barack Hussein Obama gave a speech in Strasbourg, France that condemned
America for its arrogance and "dismissive" attitude toward Europe.

During his speech in Strasbourg, Obama said that he would end the
U.S. "arrogance and derision" of "Europe’s leading role in the
world." And, during the same speech, he indirectly referred to
President Bush’s policies by saying that America has now "emerged
from an era marked by irresponsibility."

He also claimed that he was upholding American values by closing down
Guantanamo where hundreds of Islamic prisoners are held. His reason
for doing so? Because America "does not and will not torture."

Making prisoners feel uncomfortable so they will give up intelligence
information isn’t torture. Obama is confirming his far left view
that if any murderous killer is made uncomfortable, it’s torture. He
still hasn’t figured out what to do with all of these terrorists,
but maybe he doesn’t care.

He promised Europeans that America would not have an independent
foreign policy, but would be a "partner" with Europe in
decision-making. In short, he’s handing over our national interests
to foreign powers under the guise of cooperation. What he doesn’t
seem to understand is that American interests quite often clash with
those of Europe.

Kumbaya In Turkey

Obama gave his Kumbaya speech to the Turkish Parliament during
his two-day visit to that nation. Here’s a sampling of some of his
statements: I have made it clear to the people and leaders of the
Islamic Republic that the United States seeks engagement based upon
mutual interests and mutual respect. We want Iran to play its rightful
role in the community of nations, with the economic and political
integration that brings prosperity and security. Now, Iran’s leaders
must choose whether they will try to build a weapon or build a better
future for their people.

*** I know there have been difficulties these last few years. I know
that the trust that binds us has been strained, and I know that strain
is shared in many places where the Muslim faith is practiced. Let me
say this as clearly as I can: the United States is not at war with
Islam and will never be. In fact, our partnership with the Muslim
world is critical in rolling back a fringe ideology that people of
all faiths reject.

*** We will listen carefully, bridge misunderstanding, and seek common
ground. We will be respectful, even when we do not agree. And we will
convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done
so much over so many centuries to shape the world for the better –
including my own country. The United States has been enriched by Muslim
Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their family, or have
lived in a Muslim-majority country – I know, because I am one of them.

President Obama is apparently unaware of the bloody history of Islam
over the centuries. Mohammed, of course, set the example early on by
his ruthless slaughter of his opponents. Or, does Obama approve of
Islam’s conquest by the sword over millions of people throughout the
ages? It is unlikely that those nations that fell under Mohammed’s
tyranny considered that Islam was shaping their world for the better.

Nor, would the 1.5 million Christian Armenians who were slaughtered
by Turkish Islamists from 1915-1918 have agreed that their world was
being improved. Turks have the shameful history of having engaged
in the first genocide of the 20th century. And, the hatred between
Turks and Armenians continues to this day.

“I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
