TEHRAN (FNA)- Iran and Armenia discussed ways to expand mutual
cooperation in the energy sector.

In a meeting between Visiting Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan
and Iranian Minister of Economy and Finance Shamseddin Hosseini,
the two sides explored ways to finance energy projects in the two
countries.

The Iranian and Armenian ministers further called for expansion of
bilateral ties in the field of energy, oil, gas and technical and
engineering services.

Also during the meeting, the Iranian minister expressed Tehran’s
willingness to cooperate with Yerevan in developing infrastructure
of Armenia.

Movsisyan, for his part, thanked Iran for opening up a credit line
for Armenia by the Iranian Export Development Bank.

He hoped that the grounds would be prepared for expanding the two
countries’ economic and trade cooperation in near future.

Meantime, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a meeting with his
Armenian counterpart stressed expansion of Tehran-Yerevan bilateral
relations.

"Iran and Armenia should promote relations in different areas
including trade, energy and transportation," Ahmadinejad said in a

Ahmadinejad.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
