1.1BLN AMD WORK ON INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION NETWORK IRAN-ARMENIA DONE

YEREVAN, April 15. /ARKA/. As of April 1, 2009, 1,132.3mln AMD work
on the construction of the integrated corporate communication network
of the Iran-Armenia gas main was ready.

The press service of the ArmRosgasprom CJSC reported that the network
is designed for on-line control, data collection and management of
the gas transmission network.

The company reports that 148.4km of pipe trenches were dug, and
141.4km of pipes and 78.3km of tubed pipes were laid.

ArmRosgapsrom started laying a fibre-optic cable last July – 289.95km
from Meghri to gas distribution station #2 in Yerevan.

The network of the Iran-Armenia gas main will use the equipment
produced by such leading companies as Cisco, National Instruments и
Rosemount Inc.

The company’s press service reported that a total of 2,303.86mln
AMD are to be invested in the project, and the construction is to be
completed this August.

ArmRosgasprom holds a monopoly of the supply and distribution of
Russian gas in Armenia. The gas is supplied to Armenia through Georgia.

The company was founded in 1997. The Gasprom OJSC’s share in its
authorized capital is 80%, the RA Government’s share is 20%.-0–
