ArmInfo. Armenian teachers took part in the VI annual European
Innovative Teachers Forum in Vienna within the frames of the Microsoft
programme "Partners in Education".
As Head of Microsoft Armenia office Grigor Barseghyan said, 150
innovative teachers from 40 countries took part in the Forum held on
March 24-26.
According to him, Armenia in the Forum was represented by Director
of the National Educational Technologies Center Areg Grigoryan,
teacher of the school N105 Ruzanna Stepanyan and teacher of Mkhitar
Sebastatsi Educational Complex Margarita Sarkisyan, as well as Head
of the "Partners in Education" programme of Microsoft-Armenia Kristine
Genjyan. This year, the Armenian teachers came out not as contestants
but observers. "It is scheduled to hold a local competition of the
Forum in Armenia in October, 2009, the winners of which will be able
to take part in the European competition in 2010 where, in case of
victory, they will be enabled to participate in the World Competition
of innovative teachers", Gernjyan said. She added that this Forum
allowed the leading teachers from different countries to exchange
experience and knowledge. Moreover, within the frames of the Forum,
an agreement was reached between Armenia and Greece on implementation
of the teachers exchange project.
During the Forum, the jury determined the winning teachers in
the following categories: "Innovations in Using Information and
Telecommunication Technologies", "Innovations in the Society" and
"Innovations in the Content". The winners of the European Competition
of this year will take part in the "World Innovative Teachers Forum"
to be held in Brazil in November, 2009.
