INTERNATIONAL EXPERTS TO CHECK ROAD CONSTRUCTION PROCESS IN ARMENIA

International experts are to examine the road construction process in
Armenia, Chairman of Armenia’s Supervision Chamber Ishkhan Zakaryan
said at the government sitting Thursday.

The Chamber will maintain strict control over the construction
tendering process under international loan programs, especially in
road construction field, throughout the year 2009, he said.

He pointed out that strict control is to be maintained as some
companies showed not very positive results on construction tenders
during the inspections made in 2008.

In the third quarter, German experts are expected to arrive in Armenia
and bring in special equipment to check the road construction works
implemented, Zakaryan said.

He pointed out that numerous violations were established in
implementation of WB-financed road construction programs in 2008.
