"Earth Day" To Be Marked In Armenia

"EARTH DAY" TO BE MARKED IN ARMENIA

To mark Earth Day on April 22, representatives of the OSCE Office in
Yerevan, the Ministry of Nature Protection, Yerevan State University
and the Aarhus Centres, will assemble at the in the Resource Centre
on Environmental Rights for a lecture on environmental issues and
a tree planting ceremony. Government representatives, professors,
representatives of NGOs and students will assemble to mark Earth Day
in Armenia.

Ambassador Sergey Kapinos, Head of the OSCE Office in Yerevan will
present a lecture on OSCE environmental activities. The Minister
of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan and the Rector of the Yerevan
State University Aram Simonyan will make opening remarks at the event.
