ERITAGE SUPPORTS OPPOSITION IN THE YEREVAN CITY ELDERS COUNCIL

The founder of the Heritage party and his followers will support
opposition in the forthcoming elections of the Yerevan City Elders
Council on May 31 . This was stated by the leader of the "Heritage"
party Raffi Hovhannisian on April 17 at the press-conference.
According to Hovhannisian, his participation in 2013 presidential
elections is utterly hypothetic.
Raffi Hovhannisian believes to dedicate more time to the political life
of Armenia, after he had refused being a member in the delegations
of Armenia’s National Assembly in the Parliamentary Assembly of the
Council of Europe and in NATO.
Responding to the question, whether the president of the United States
Barack Obama will recognize the fact of the Armenian Genocide, Mr.
Hovhannisian particularly told. " It would be advantageous, if he
uses the words "genocide", "deprive of motherland" and the terminology
reflecting all these losses":
To remind, B.Obama during the presidential election campaign promised
to the American Armenians to recognize the fact of the Armenian
genocide by accepting, that in 1915 the Genocide of Armenians was
implemented by the Ottoman Turkey. During his visit to Turkey touching
upon this topic, B.Obama told, that his opinion about the Armenian
Genocide remained unchanged.
