HOVIK ABRAHAMIAN PROPOSES CREATING ARMENIAN-POLISH INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION

WARSAW

RA NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamian, who is in Poland on an official visit,
met with Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk on April 21. According
to the report of the RA NA Public Relations Department, during the
meeting the sides touched upon the world financial-economic crisis
and its influence on the two countries.

In order to promote bilateral economic contacts H. Abrahamian proposed
creating an Armenian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission and expressed
his readiness to contribute to cooperation between the two countries’
executive powers.

The interlocutors held the same opinion that the European Union Eastern
Partnership program creates new possibilities for both development
of Armenian-Polish bilateral cooperation and for European Union’s
involvement in the South Caucasian region.

The delegation led by H. Abrahamian leaves for Krakow on April 22. The
same day the Armenian delegation will visit the Memorial Complex-Museum
of Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp.

The delegation led by H. Abrahamian will return to Yerevan on April 23.
