Azerbaijan increases gas prices after Turkey-Armenia thaw

Turkish Prime Minister described the neighbor’s decision as
"thought-provoking".

Azerbaijan announced on Saturday its decision on increasing price of
natural gas to Turkey, Anadolu agency reported.

The decision came after recent Turkey-Armania thaw which Azerbaijan is
cold.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan described the neighbor’s
decision as "thought-provoking".

Erdogan said that Azerbaijan’s move is thought-provoking while value
of dollar is decreasing."

Head of State OİL Company of Azeirbaijan (SOCAR), Rövneg Abdullayev,
said that the negotiations were continuing with Turkish officials.

He added that new price will come into effect by April 15.

Azerbaijan opposes the opening of border crossing between
Turkey-Armenia unless Nagorno-Karabakh issue is solved.
