ARTHUR BAGHDASARIAN RECEIVES MEMBERS OF EU CONSULTING GROUP

YEREVAN, APRIL 23, ARMENPRESS: Secretary of the Armenian National
Security Council Arthur Baghdasarian received today the head of the
Delegation of the European Commission to Armenia Raul de Lutzenberger
and members of the consulting group of EU who arrived in Armenia.

Press service of the National Security Council told Armenpress that
the sides discussed issues connected with the 2009-2011 program of
events which ensures implementation of Armenia-EU Action plan.

Arthur Baghdasarian informed that the program of events has already
been approved at the session of the inter-departmental commission
coordinating the cooperation of Armenian state bodies with the
European establishments.

The program of events will be presented to the president of the
country. For the implementation of the program task groups have been
set up. A. Baghdasarian pointed out that he expects full involvement
of the members of the European consulting group in the activity of
the created task groups. Raul de Lutzenberger said he is pleased
with the already carried out work and pointed out the necessity of
cooperation of Armenian and European specialists in the implementation
of the program.

The head of the European consulting group Rolf Boenken highly assessed
the developed document suggesting that the prior directions be singled
out and more attention be paid to them.

The sides also underscored ensuring the transparency of the
implementation of the program and once in three months sum up the
results of the works directed towards the implementation of program
and present the results to mass media.
