DAVID SHAHNAZARYAN DELIVERS ADDRESS TO EUROPEANS

At the discussion on the EU Eastern Partnership initiated by the
alliance group of European liberals and democrats yesterday, the
Armenian National Congress representative David Shahnazaryan spoke
on the issues over the internal and foreign policies of Armenia,
ANC press service reported.
According to the source, in his speech he outlined the "oppressions
of civil freedoms by the Armenian authorities, violations of human
rights, falsification of Presidential Elections in 2008, political
prisoners and the ongoing tortures of the opposition carried out by
the authorities."
Following the address the focus of discussion were the perspectives
of Armenian-Turkish possible reconciliation, the regulation of
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, as well as different aspects of Armenia-EU
cooperation.
