ISTANBUL BRANCH OF HUMAN RIGHTS ASSOCIATION COMMEMORATE ARMENIAN INTELLECTUALS ARRESTED APR 24 1915

Today the Istanbul Branch of the Human Rights Association commemorated
the Armenian intellectuals arrested Apr 24 1915

The press release of the branch published on the web-site of Hytert
says that among them were outstanding representative of the Ottoman
society, art, literature, science and culture. Most of those people
were killed during deportation. The press release mentions Daniel
Varoujhan, Siamanto, Ruben Sevak, Grigor Zohrap. Representatives
of the organization Reza Dalkilic says that the arrest of Armenian
intellectuals gave start to the mass annihilation of Armenians in
Ottoman Empire and their death was a great loss not only for the
Armenian community but "for all of us."
