ARF DASHNAKTSUTYUN PARTY ACCEPTS PROPOSAL BY ARMENIAN PARLIAMENTARY SPEAKER

ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party parliamentary faction has accepted the
proposal by Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan
to recall their resignation applications, Chairman of ARFD faction
Vahan Hovhannisyan said in the Parliament Thursday. He said that
reckoning with national interests, the party representatives have
made a decision to reserve their positions of the chairmen of the
parliamentary commissions for foreign affairs and defense, national
security and the interior. These positions belong to representatives
of ARFD Hrayr Karapetyan, Armen Rustamyan and Arthur Aghabekyan in
compliance with the agreement made in 2008.
ARFD announced its withdrawal from the ruling coalition of Armenia
on April 27 as a sign of protest against the ‘road-map’ identified by
Armenian and Turkish diplomats in mediation of Switzerland to settle
the Armenian-Turkish relations.
