THEY AGREED TO STAY SILENT

"Our concerns were not dispelled," told "A1+" member of the "Heritage"
party Stepan Safaryan after RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan’s
meeting with National Assembly factions.

The FM and the political parties made an agreement not to provide
details on the meeting and Safaryan was not against that agreement. He
only mentioned that the minister presented the current developments
in Turkish-Armenian relations and that the political parties expressed
their concerns and viewpoints.

Mr. Nalbandyan came to the National Assembly on time and
entered from the back door to avoid a press conference with
journalists. Photographers and cameramen were allowed to stay in the
hall for three minutes.

As Stepan Safaryan told "A1+", Nalbandyan was not able to dispel
concerns of at least some deputies during the meeting held behind
closed doors.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
