NASDAQ OMX ARMENIA POSTS FIVEFOLD DROP IN SECURITIES TRANSACTIONS IN APR 09

YEREVAN, May 6. /ARKA/. Securities transactions on NASDAQ OMX Armenia
stock exchange dropped fivefold to 297.5mln drams in April, compared
to 1534mln drams in March.

According to stock exchange information, corporate bonds deals
amounted to 287.1mln drams (96.8% of total transactions), with state
bonds transactions totaling 9.2mln drams (3.1%). Stock deals reached
208,000 drams (0.07%).

According to the ARKA News Agency analysis based on the data of
NASDAQ OMX Armenia, ten private companies and the RA Ministry of
Finance were listed on the stock exchange in the reporting period.

IMEX GROUP Co. LTD topped the list of corporate bonds transactions,
with the Yerevan Factory of Champagne Wines being the only company
that participated in stock transactions in April.

Ardshininvestbank effected 106.3mln drams worth transactions
with corporate bonds (37% of corporate bonds deals on NASDAQ OMX
Armenia). Stock transactions of the Yerevan Factory of Champagne
Wines totaled 208,000 drams. NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. is the world’s
largest exchange company.

In January 2008, Nordic exchange operator OMX Group acquired 100%
of shares of the Armenian Stock Exchange (Armex) and the Central
Depository of Armenia (CDA). After the combination of NASDAQ and OMX
in February 2008, Armex and CDA have become fully owned by the NASDAQ
OMX Group, Inc.

As of May 5, twenty-two securities underwent listing on NASDAQ OMX
Armenia, with its capitalization totaling 53.3bln drams. ($1 – 372.79
