"A WALK IN ARMENIA" EVENT WAS HELD IN BELGIAN CITY OF NAMYUR

NAMUR, MAY 5, ARMENIANS TODAY – NOYAN TAPAN. A two day event "A walk in
Armenia" was organized by the newly established "Anush" organization
with the assistance of RA Embassy in Belgium at the Culture Hall
of the Belgian city of Namur on May 2-3. As the press office of the
foreign ministry of Armenia reported, the event hosted exhibitions,
documentary screening, Arax music band featuring Armenian composers’
works, performances by Paris dance ensemble. In the foyer of the
Culture Hall Armenia was presented by art works of the young Dutch
artist Ralf Heynen and copies of Armenian medieval miniatures. The
event was attended by Namur Mayor Jacques Etienne, RA Ambassador to
Belgium Vigen Chitechyan, Head of Armenians’ Committee in Belgium
Michele Makhmuryan and Namur city authorities. The event was attended
by senators, officials of Namur, representatives of the Armenian
community in Belgium and non-governmental organizations.
