Armenian, Azeri leaders agreed to continue talks based on Minsk proposals
Yerevan. 7 May: The Armenian side regards today’s meeting between the
Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents as "useful" since it allowed to
"clarify as much as possible an approach to the main principles of the
Karabakh conflict settlement and bring nearer the positions on some
issues", presidential spokesman Samvel Farmanyan has said, our
correspondent reports from Prague.
He pointed out that the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents instructed
the foreign ministers of the two countries to continue their work with
the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group on the coordination of the
basic principles of the settlement based on the Madrid proposals and
arrange another meeting between the presidents.
Farmanyan recalled that Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan stated
during his recent visit to Moscow that the key issue of the [conflict]
settlement is the status of Nagornyy Karabakh.
