Russia to Invest on Iran-Armenia Railway

Armenian transportation and communication minister Gurgen Sargsian
said that his country tends to absorb Russian and other financial
resources for establishment of Iran-Armenia rail way. Iranian side has
announced readiness to grant Armenia a 400-million-dollar loan,
Sargsian said adding that "on the other side Iran will finance the
part of the railway passes through the Iranian territories." Armenia
tends to supply the required finance via various financial fields
including Iranian loan, Russian resources, Asian Development Bank and
the World Bank. 2009/05/07
