2009 PRESIDENT PRIZE AWARDED

The ceremony of awarding RA President’s Prizes took place at the
President’s Office today. The President Prize was established in 2000
by the Boghossian Foundation, seeking to promote excellence in the
Armenian arts and sciences.

Handing in the awards, President Serzh Sargsyan congratulated the
winners and said: "With this Prizes Armenia appreciates the scientific
and creative achievements, because your achievements do not belong
only to you, they belong to the whole Armenian nation. I think the
utmost objective of any artist and scholar should be the creation
of a value that starts living its own life and becomes a universal
property. On such occasions I usually note that we, as society,
need positive and encouraging examples."

On behalf of the winners, President Serzh Sargsyan expressed gratitude
to the Boghossian family, thanks to the efforts and means of which
this award ceremony has succeeded.
